Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026

This policy explains what data we collect when you use notelog (getnotelog.com), how we use it, and your rights. Questions: info@getnotelog.com.

Data we collect

  • Account: your email address (and display name, if set).
  • Content: the title and text of your notes, and images you upload.
  • Usage: your monthly AI question counter and subscription status.
  • Technical: a session cookie; theme/language preference is stored in your browser (localStorage).

How we use it

  • To store your notes and show them back to you.
  • To generate embeddings of note content for semantic search.
  • To provide relevant notes as context to the AI for “ask your notes” (Pro).
  • To manage subscriptions and prevent abuse.

Service providers we use

To run the service we process data with these trusted providers:

  • Supabase — hosting, database, file storage and authentication.
  • Voyage AI — embedding generation (note text is sent).
  • Anthropic (Claude) — only for the “ask” feature, relevant note text is sent.
  • Polar — subscription payments (we never store your card details).
  • Resend — authentication emails.
  • Vercel & Cloudflare — hosting and domain.

No end-to-end encryption

notelog’s core feature is semantic search, which requires note content to be readable on the server. For that reason we do not apply end-to-end encryption. Do not store secrets (passwords, credentials) in your notes.

Cookies and tracking

We only use cookies necessary to keep you signed in. There are no ad networks, third-party trackers, or profiling analytics.

Retention and deletion

When you delete a note, its content and images are permanently removed. To delete your entire account, email info@getnotelog.com; your data will be deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your data. For requests, contact info@getnotelog.com.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page.
